Understanding the journey that has shaped both your personal and professional identity is crucial in determining your growth trajectory. Reflecting on your upbringing, experiences, and challenges provides invaluable insights into where you’ve been and where you aspire to go.

I hail from a small rural community in Butler County, Ohio, born into a family of farmers. My father, a resolute and hardworking man, imparted a drive for excellence upon me, albeit sometimes in a manner that was less than nurturing. Despite his tough approach, his message resonated: always strive to be your best.

Growing up, I didn’t fit neatly into any social clique. Neither a “jock” nor a “band geek,” I often felt like the odd one out, misunderstood and unheard. Yet, this sense of isolation cultivated a deep empathy within me for those who similarly felt overlooked or marginalized. Through listening, asking questions, and offering support, I discovered the power of compassion in navigating life’s challenges.

My journey has taken me far beyond the confines of my upbringing. From leading mission trips for Jr. High students in Cincinnati to aiding in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and , I’ve witnessed the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. These experiences have enriched my perspective, fostering a profound love and empathy for people from all walks of life.

In the face of adversity, including battles with cancer and surviving a near-fatal car accident, I’ve learned to cherish each moment and treasure the relationships that enrich my life. These trials have underscored the fragility of life and the importance of living with purpose and gratitude.

In 2018, during a leadership program, I embarked on the journey of crafting my personal mission statement. Through introspection and dialogue with trusted confidants, this statement has evolved, guiding my professional path towards coaching and mentoring while reaffirming my commitment to mission work.
