A Sunday Evening Reset
What do Sunday evenings look like for you?
For some of my clients, Sunday night feels like a frantic rush to prepare for the week ahead—laundry, calendars, emails, and the mental checklist that never seems to end.
For others, it’s more emotional than logistical. The weekend winds down and a familiar feeling sets in: disappointment that the freedom of the weekend is over and the heavy awareness that Monday morning is just around the corner.
I’ve experienced those Sundays too. But over time, I’ve created a different ritual for myself.
Sunday evening has become my time to slow down and reset.
Instead of focusing on what’s ending, I take a few moments to reflect on the joy that showed up over the weekend—the conversations, the laughter, the quiet moments. When I acknowledge those, something shifts. I begin to look at the week ahead not as something to push through, but as something that might also hold moments of meaning, growth, and even joy.
Reflection creates possibility.
And one of the ways I create that clarity for myself—and for my clients—is through a few powerful questions.
These six questions help us make sense of where we are, where we want to go, and how we move forward with intention.
1️⃣ What’s going well in your life right now?
How might you build on that momentum to move yourself forward?
2️⃣ What feels ready for change?
Where in your life are you being called to shift, grow, or do something differently?
3️⃣ What is currently within your control?
How are you using that influence to support the life or results you want?
4️⃣ What feels outside your control right now?
If you had greater influence over it, what might shift for you?
5️⃣ What opportunities are showing up for you this week?
Which ones energize you, and how do they align with your purpose and values?
6️⃣ Now that you’ve reflected on these questions, what action will you commit to this week?
What is one step that moves you closer to the life you want to create?
These questions aren’t about adding more to your plate; they’re about creating space.
Space to pause. Space to reflect. Space to intentionally choose where your energy will go in the week ahead.
Because clarity doesn’t just happen—it’s created through moments of reflection like these.
So as you close out your weekend, I’m curious:
Which of these questions resonates most with you right now?
Hi, I’m Carla Hale.
I coach individuals in transition to identify their core values, create a sense of purpose, and define success on their own terms—through clarity, intention, and aligned action.
If you’re ready to turn reflection into meaningful growth, let’s connect and explore how we can work together.
